Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF)
The BHKS, jointly with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, supported the 42nd Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) to promote Hong Kong's creative industry to Belgians and the younger audience in particular.
The 42nd BIFFF was held at the Brussels Expo at Heysel on 9 – 21 April 2024. Two Hong Kong films were screened: (1)
The Moon Thieves by Kim Wai Yuen (2024) and (2)
Bursting Point by Dante Lam and Calvin Tong (2023).
A Hong Kong Film Night was held on 10 April 2024 with a reception before the screening of The Moon Thieves. The other Hong Kong film Bursting Point was screened on 17 April 2024.
The BHKS members were invited to join the Hong Kong Film Night and also offered free tickets to watch the films.
The
BIFFF is the most important festival of its kind in Europe. Some 100 films from the fantasy, horror, thriller and science-fiction genres are screened every year. The BIFFF is also known for its enthusiastic audience participation and huge media coverage.
