The spotlight will be on Hong Kong blockbusters at the Brussels Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) at BOZAR from 8 to 20 April 2014. A stunning crop of Hong Kong films will feature at this year’s festival for the thriller, supernatural, science fiction and horror genres, with the support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Brussels and the Belgium-Hong Kong Society.
Don’t miss the Hong Kong Film Night on 16 April, where film director Kenneth Bi will present his futurist thiller, Control, which is competing in the festival’s international competition. Another film in competition is Juno Mak’s Rigor Mortis, of which a film critic said “it was hoped that it would keep its promises and prove highly disturbing”. You have been warned ! Other Hong Kong films to look out for are Danny and Oxide Pang’s disaster blockbuster Out of Inferno 3D, Leong Po-chih’s chilling story of a killer doll, Baby Blues 3D, Leong Tak-san’s supernatural thriller The Incredible Truthand Tsui Hark’s eagerly-anticipated latest Detective Dee film – Young Detective: Rise of the Sea Dragon.
The festival, one of the two largest of its kind in Europe, will present a rich and varied programme of 130 films from 60 different countries, including the première of Police Story 2013 starring Jackie Chan, which has been chosen as the festival’s closing film.

Coming to its 15th edition this year, the Hong Kong forum promises to be another great event by the Federation of Hong Kong Business associations worldwide.
This year’s forum will be staged on 2-3 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
